Pure Pilates

Our Philosophy
Pilates at Pure combines the precision, power and control of the Pilates method with the inspired, innovative and transformative yoga experience at Pure . Our integrated approach uses the foundation of classical Pilates to design individualized, results-oriented programs that help our clients achieve results.

Intelligent Exercise
Pilates emphasizes strength, endurance, flexibility, breathing and concentration to train the mind and body to work together. Exercises are designed to stabilize the torso and work the muscles of the powerhouse, or the “core”. Strengthening these muscles will provide a foundation upon which yogis can deepen their yoga practice and their mind/body connection.

Benefits
The benefits of adding Pilates to a workout program range from helping the average person become more physically fit to perfecting the performance of the elite athlete. Regardless of your physical ability, whether you’re limber, inflexible, weak or strong, Pilates teaches you a way of life. You sit better, you sleep better, you stand better, and you feel more in control of your body. And it doesn’t hurt that you’ll look great, either!

The Workout
A Pilates session is fifty-five minutes in length and is composed of a combination of equipment and matwork at a level appropriate for each client. Wear comfortable, fitted clothing—no shoes required!
